My academic journey has been driven by a keen interest in design and fine arts. Throughout my studies, I have developed a strong foundation in illustration, draping, construction and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I have had the opportunity to work on various projects through out my semesters that have allowed me to apply my knowledge and grow my skills in this field.
-
I have honed my skills in both basic silhouette draping and soft draping techniques. My projects have included crafting a variety of garments, such as pants, cowls, and pleated designs. Additionally, I have worked extensively with knits, mastering the nuances of their unique stretch and flow. Through these experiences, I have developed a keen eye for fabric manipulation and garment construction, enhancing my overall proficiency in fashion design.
-
Over the past few semesters, I have honed a variety of illustration skills, including fabric renderings, croquis construction, and a meticulous design development process. Additionally, I have cultivated strong presentation skills. My design portfolio features a diverse range of collections, such as swimwear, fall/winter military-inspired ensembles, brand-specific collections, and designer-influenced series.
-
I have mastered Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, applying these skills to various projects involving both colored and black-and-white flats. My experience encompasses following a complete design process, from initial concept to final presentation. Notably, I have also worked on a brand collaboration project, further enhancing my ability to merge creative vision with practical execution. These experiences have equipped me with a strong proficiency in digital design tools and a comprehensive understanding of the design workflow.
-
I have gained extensive experience in intense garment construction using industrial sewing machines, mastering various seam finishes. My portfolio includes the construction of a wool skirt, a cotton blouse, corduroy pants, and a wool blazer. These projects have refined my skills in handling different fabrics and advanced sewing techniques, underscoring my proficiency in professional garment making.

I have honed my skills in fashion research by mastering a comprehensive and systematic approach to developing a collection. This process begins with rigorous primary research, where I gather and analyze relevant data, insights, and trends. I then integrate this research with well-documented citations to ensure a solid foundation for the creative direction. My method includes creating detailed thumbnails, curating color palettes, and selecting fabric swatches that align with the collection’s vision. The process culminates in a cohesive final collection that is both innovative and grounded in thorough research, with each element thoughtfully designed to reflect the original concept and narrative. This meticulous approach ensures that the final collection is not only aesthetically compelling but also aligned with market needs and cultural relevance.
